Join Salem Witch Christian Day, as he casts aside the veil that divides us from the lands of the dead, guiding you on an out-of-body journey into the Underworld!

Pay your spirit‘s toll to Charon the ferryman and cross the ghostly river Styx for a journey into a mysterious realm where wandering spirits, mischievous faeries, devilish deities, and mythical creatures dwell! Cerberus, the fierce three-headed dog who guards the gates, will grant passage to those brave enough to enter.

The Underworld has inspired centuries of fear, and has been called by many names: Hell, Hades, the Netherworld, the Abyss, Sheol, Jahannam, and even Faerie. But what is the Underworld? Is it real? If so, is it a sinister cavern of punishment where all hope is drowned out by the laments of the damned or eternally green fields where all souls find rest? Or, is it something else entirely? On this night, you will be able to go there and find out for yourself.

The evening begins with a sermon on the Underworld and its deities of death, mischief, and fate and pays homage to them in their guises of Hecate, Lilith, Hades, Persephone, Ereshkigal, Hel, Anubis, Osiris, Arawn, Baron Samedi, and Ankou, the famed Grim Reaper.

Participants are blindfolded and guided on an out-of-body journey to the Underworld to seek wisdom from the Lords of the Dead, mighty beings who whisper words of prophecy to the worthy. Draw upon their ancient and profound knowledge. This Underworld initiation teaches us that in the deepest places of our souls, nothing is as it seems.

Finally, face the dreaded mystery of Pandora’s box, mythic source of all misery and torment, that you may learn to find hope in the darkest of life‘s moments.

Journeys to the Underworld is hosted by Salem Witch Elder Christian Day and features rituals, journeys, and mysteries, as well as decadent hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.
